Shell Island
Shell Island started off as a farm dating back to the Doomsday book of 1086. The Island developed as a tourist attraction in the 1880’s with the coming of the railways.
In 1958 it was bought by the Workman family who still run it today. With its unique location on the North Cardigan bay, in the Snowdonia National Park, it attracts families from all over the UK and Europe for camping holidays and day visits.
Based in North Wales and boasting stunning views of the unspoiled Welsh countryside, including Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonia National Park, and with over 450 acres, of which 300 acres are available for camping, Shell Island has developed into one of the largest camping sites in Europe. Shell Island appeals strongly to those who love unspoiled countryside, and those who appreciate quietness. So whether you come for the day, or a weeks holiday, Shell Island offers everybody their own piece of paradise.
Catering for all the family and with excellent facilities Shell Island will make your camping experience one to remember.

Open Llanbedr Airfield
With lack of jobs since the airfield closed down, Kemble estates are trying to open this former airfield again.
In this part of Wales there is an urgency for jobs, and over time, if the airfield was to reopen, jobs would be created, not just by Kemble, but other businesses who would be leasing the building on the former RAF site, stopping people moving out of the area in search of jobs.
By joining our Facebook group you are for the airfield reopening, and fully support the future of the site.
